Getting the right UK golf handicap Scoring System is your first priority, when it comes to obtaining and improving your golf handicap. With the New World Handicap System rules in place, we have integrated our unique service to enable you to upload your scores via our web site and see your new handicap, when you login as a member.

At The Golf Club Great Britain we have developed an unrivalled UK Golf handicap scoring System, which enables you to load up your score card information from your mobile phone to our website via the members area. Our automated system will then be checked manually and the New World Handicap System calculations applied. Any input errors are corrected and then updated if necessary.

Initially we will assess your handicap from three recent cards and you will be sent a plastic membership card with your handicap clearly shown which is valid for one year, along with your membership pack. If you need the handicap urgently, we will email a letter of confirmation immediately upon receipt of your scorecards.

You can then start to use our online Scorecard Submission Form and see instantly if your handicap has changed.

Unlike many other cheaper online handicaps now available, our handicap is accepted at most of the top course in the UK including the Old Course at St. Andrews. We also have other facilities which are not available with other schemes, which will give you access to golf courses via our directory along with discounts with our partners GolfGuard, Golf Escapes and

There are three levels of memberships with our Club, starting from only £8.99 but most our members opt for the Gold membership at just 19.99 for the first year as it offers so much more in terms of facilities, deals and our unrivalled online handicap system. If you are an independent nomadic golfer our handicap card together with insurance is all you need to enjoy your golf to the full!

Once you have an initial handicap, gross scores should be adjusted down to a maximum of net double bogey and then the adjusted total entered. The new WHS does NOT allow for stableford points to be entered. For initial handicap purposes you do not need to adjust your score.

Also unlike other schemes available, we offer much more than just a handicap certificate. All members and their guests are welcome to attend our monthly golf days, weekends away and overseas trips. You will have the opportunity to meet other golfers of all abilities and play on prestigious courses throughout the UK. Many lifelong friendships have been made through our golfing events and many members have been with us for well over 20 years. Our overseas trips include such destinations as Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Cyprus, Morocco and South Africa.
